Job Title: Foreman - Commercial Plumber / Pipefitter Location: Columbus, OH 43213 | Territory: Columbus & Central Ohio | Employment Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire |Work Setting: On-Site | Field-Based Travel: Local travel throughout Central Ohio About The Opportunity • W3Global's client is seeking an experienced Foreman - Commercial Plumber/Pipefitter to lead plumbing crews on commercial construction projects throughout the Columbus and Central Ohio market. • This is a hands-on leadership position for an experienced commercial plumber who can confidently lead a crew, coordinate with project management and other trades, maintain high-quality workmanship, and keep projects moving safely and efficiently. • The ideal candidate is someone who takes ownership of the job site, leads by example, communicates effectively, and can balance field leadership with hands-on technical expertise. Key Responsibilities • Crew Leadership & Project Execution • Lead commercial plumbing crews on active job sites. • Plan daily work activities and effectively assign tasks to Journeymen and Apprentices. • Monitor productivity, project progress, workmanship, and quality. • Coordinate with Project Managers, other trades, subcontractors, and site personnel to keep projects on schedule. • Provide hands-on plumbing expertise and support when needed. • Troubleshoot field issues and develop practical solutions to keep work progressing. • Ensure work is completed according to project plans, specifications, schedules, and company standards. Plumbing & Technical Responsibilities • Perform and oversee commercial plumbing installations. • Install and fit piping systems and related plumbing components. • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and project documents. • Conduct testing, commissioning, and quality-control activities. • Identify potential issues or conflicts in the field and communicate them to management. • Report job-site conditions, material requirements, delays, schedule impacts, and potential cost concerns. Safety & Quality • Enforce company and job-site safety policies and procedures. • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment. • Ensure all work meets applicable project requirements and quality standards. • Lead by example in maintaining a strong safety-first culture. • Identify and address potential hazards before they become problems. Team Development • Mentor, train, and develop Journeymen and Apprentices. • Provide direction, feedback, and support to crew members. • Help team members improve their technical skills and overall job performance. • Promote a professional, respectful, and productive team environment. Required Qualifications What We're Looking For: • 5+ years of commercial plumbing experience in a construction environment. • Previous Foreman, Lead Plumber, Crew Lead, or supervisory experience. • Strong technical plumbing knowledge and hands-on field experience. • Ability to confidently read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications. • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and professional workmanship. • Valid driver's license. • Ability and willingness to travel to commercial job sites throughout Central Ohio. • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, field-based construction environment.
