1. Agreement to These Terms

Welcome to tradesppl. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the tradesppl website, job board, free tools, and related services (together, the "Service"), operated at tradesppl.com. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. What tradesppl Does

tradesppl is a job board and community platform for the trades industry. We help job seekers discover trade jobs, build resumes and cover letters, and connect with employers; and we help employers post jobs and review applicants. tradesppl is a venue — we are not an employer, recruiter, or employment agency, and we are not a party to any employment relationship formed through the Service.

3. Accounts and Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of majority for employment in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information in your account and profile, for keeping your login credentials secure, and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

4. Acceptable Use

When using the Service, you agree not to:

  • Post false, misleading, discriminatory, or unlawful job listings, profiles, applications, or community content;
  • Impersonate any person or organization, or misrepresent your affiliation with one;
  • Scrape, harvest, or bulk-collect data from the Service, or use automated tools to access it except through interfaces we provide;
  • Upload malicious code or attempt to interfere with, probe, or circumvent the security of the Service;
  • Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited communications; or
  • Violate any applicable law or regulation.

We may remove content or suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Job Listings and Applications

Job listings are provided by employers or aggregated from third-party sources. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or availability of any listing, nor do we guarantee interviews, offers, or employment outcomes. Employers are solely responsible for their listings, hiring decisions, and compliance with employment laws. Job seekers are responsible for evaluating listings and prospective employers before applying or sharing personal information.

6. Your Content

You retain ownership of the content you submit to the Service — profiles, resumes, applications, messages, and community posts ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant tradesppl a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, display, and share it as needed to operate the Service (for example, showing your application and resume to the employer you applied to). You are responsible for your User Content and must have the rights necessary to share it.

7. Free Tools and AI Features

The Service includes free calculators, reference tools, and AI-assisted features (such as resume and cover letter drafting). These are provided for general informational and convenience purposes only. Calculator results, code and certification references, and AI-generated content may contain errors or become outdated, and do not constitute professional, legal, engineering, or career advice. Always verify important information with authoritative sources and review AI-generated documents before using them.

8. Communications

We send transactional emails necessary to operate the Service (such as account verification, security notices, and application updates). Separately, you may opt in to receive platform update emails about new features and improvements. Opting in is optional, we only use it to share updates about the platform, and you can change your preference at any time in your account settings.

9. Paid Plans and Billing

Some features for employers are offered under paid subscription plans. Prices, features, and billing terms are presented at the point of purchase and are processed by our payment provider. Unless stated otherwise, subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled, and fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

10. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, software, branding, and content we create, is owned by tradesppl or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service except as permitted by these Terms.

11. Third-Party Links and Services

The Service contains links to third-party websites (such as employer sites, trade schools, and official code authorities) and relies on third-party services to operate. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third parties.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, tradesppl and its owners, employees, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or opportunities, arising from your use of the Service — including decisions made in reliance on job listings, tools, or AI-generated content. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or one hundred US dollars (USD $100).

14. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 6, 10, 12, and 13) will survive.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you through the Service or by email. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
