Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of HVAC systems across commercial and Industrial properties. Responsibilities
• Install new HVAC systems including equipment such as boilers, air conditioning units, refrigeration systems, and building automation systems according to schematics and design specifications
• Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency
• Diagnose electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and conduct electrical diagnostics to troubleshoot system faults
• Repair and replace mechanical components including compressors, fans, pumps, valves, and ductwork
• Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems, ensuring proper water flow and drainage for refrigeration and heating units
• Troubleshoot complex mechanical systems using technical schematics and HVAC design principles
• Maintain detailed service records, inspection reports, and logs of all repairs and maintenance activities
• Ensure compliance with safety standards such as EPA regulations for refrigerants and proper handling of ammonia refrigeration systems
• Assist in the installation of building automation systems to optimize climate control and energy management
• Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs, maintenance procedures, and system functionalities clearly to clients
Experience
• Proven experience as an HVAC service technician or similar role with construction experience preferred
• Hands-on experience with HVAC system repair, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting across various equipment types
• Strong mechanical knowledge of HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems
• Familiarity with schematics, electrical diagnostics, plumbing connections, and refrigeration principles
• Ability to operate hand tools safely and efficiently in diverse environments
• Experience working with building automation systems and electrical systems is highly desirable
• Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus for specialized roles
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; possession of driver certification preferred
• Certifications such as EPA refrigerant handling certification are required; additional certifications in HVAC design or property maintenance are advantageous

Pay: $26.00 - $50.00 per hour
