Welder - Afternoon

Finning is growing fast—and so are the opportunities! We are adding an afternoon shift (3 PM - 1 AM) to our busy Regina shop and looking to hire 2 Journeyperson Welders to our team. ## What You’ll Do Maintain and repair Caterpillar Construction Equipment, Mining Equipment, and Expanded Mining Equipment. This includes component rebuild and repair, some manufacturing, and performing routine maintenance work. You’ll occasionally work at heights and in confined spaces, and will frequently bend, squat, climb, and lift or push up to 45 pounds without assistance. Completing technical documentation—like service reports, warranty paperwork, and crossover notes—is part of the job. You’ll interact with customers, sales support, and the rest of the Finning team, and work alongside the Service Supervisor and Leadhand on various tasks as required. ## What We’re Looking For - Journeyperson Welder Ticket with Interprovincial Certification - Valid driver’s license - Safety-conscious team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills and a high attention to detail - Strong welding aptitude: vertical, flat, and overhead test for both SMAW and FCAW. Machining experience is beneficial. - Repair welding would be considered an asset - Strong line boring experience will be considered an asset ## The Details This position is based in our Regina shop on a 4x3 compressed afternoon shift (3 PM - 1 AM). A condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator. ## Compensation & Benefits - Wage: $42.62 - $51.57 per hour, plus an additional afternoon shift premium of $3.50 per hour - Bonus target: 4% - Paid time off in year 1 includes vacation, sick leave, and 7 days flex time - 5.75% employer-paid pension, plus up to 1% additional - 6% voluntary Employee Share Purchase plan with a 2% Finning match - 100% employer-paid medical benefits - CAT certified training: additional certifications and skill development paid for by Finning
