Duties • Install, maintain, and repair commercial electrical systems in accordance with local electrical codes and NFPA 70 standards (National Electrical Code). • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to execute precise wiring and system setups. • Troubleshoot electrical systems using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters, multimeters, and other power tools to identify faults efficiently. • Perform high-voltage wiring tasks safely for industrial equipment and commercial infrastructure projects. • Conduct inspections of electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety procedures and quality standards during renovation or new construction. • Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation tasks when required, ensuring proper configuration and troubleshooting. • Follow all electrical safety procedures rigorously to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and team members. Requirements • Proven experience as an industrial or commercial electrician with a strong background in electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting. • Demonstrated knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association standards) and NEC (National Electrical Code) compliance requirements. • Ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, and blueprints accurately. • Skilled in electrical wiring, system installation, and maintenance of both low voltage and high voltage systems. • Experience working on construction sites, renovations, or industrial facilities with a focus on safety protocols. • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, testing equipment such as ohmmeters, and high-voltage wiring techniques. • Familiarity with industrial electrical systems including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and industrial automation components. • Knowledge of local electrical codes combined with excellent problem-solving skills for complex electrical issues. • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients while adhering to safety standards.
