Journeyperson Plumber or HVAC Technician

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plumber or HVAC technician to join our team. Lead hand, journeyperson. *Redseal certification is required for this application.* The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in plumbing systems, ensuring that installations and repairs are completed to the highest standards. Trouble shooting and problem solving required *Versatility is essential* This role requires a commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Work includes service, retrofits, renovations and construction. Experience with Poly B replacement an asset. Service experience an asset. Experience with furnace retrofits and ductwork an asset. Must be willing to learn and adaptable to different construction skills. Flexibility across plumbing/hvac may be necessary. Responsibilities • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and fixtures in residential and commercial settings. • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine layout of plumbing systems. • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and equipment for various plumbing tasks. • Solder/braze • Perform heavy lifting as required for installations and repairs. • Collaborate with other construction professionals, including carpenters and HVAC technicians, to ensure seamless project execution. • Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues or needed repairs. • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. • Adhere to all safety regulations and building codes during all plumbing activities. • Use multimeter, understand electrical controls • Clean driving abstract preferred Experience • Proven experience in plumbing or a related field is essential. • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems. • Familiarity with carpentry, drywall removal/installation, dust control, construction practices. • Knowledge of electrical controls and HVAC troubleshooting an asset • Experience with variety of piping also an asset. Sheet metal, steel, plastic, copper • Proficiency in basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to plumbing tasks. Code book knowledge essential. • Experience with assembly of plumbing fixtures and components is essential.
