Role Description This is a full-time, on-site HVAC/R role based in Phoenix, AZ. The HVAC/R professional will install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems in commercial and/or residential settings. Day-to-day work includes diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, performing routine inspections, cleaning and replacing filters and components, and ensuring systems comply with safety and efficiency standards. The role involves reading and interpreting technical diagrams and service manuals, using appropriate tools and test equipment, and completing work orders and documentation accurately. The HVAC/R professional will collaborate with team members, communicate clearly with supervisors and customers, and follow all company and regulatory safety guidelines.
Qualifications
• Strong technical skills in installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC/R systems, including familiarity with mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant components.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals, and to use diagnostic tools and instruments effectively.
• Knowledge of relevant codes, safety regulations, and best practices for HVAC/R work, including proper handling of refrigerants and adherence to OSHA standards.
• Effective problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on quality, safety, and efficiency.
• Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers, colleagues, and supervisors.
• Physical ability to perform on-site tasks, including lifting equipment, working in confined spaces or at heights, and standing for extended periods.
• Relevant certifications or licenses (such as EPA refrigerant certification or local HVAC/R licensing) are strongly preferred.
• Previous experience in HVAC/R or a related trade, and a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation to the Phoenix, AZ job site.
