About This Role This position focuses on commercial HVAC work — upgrading and replacing existing building systems including HVAC equipment to improve energy efficiency, meet code requirements, and boost overall performance as well as service, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance. This is a great opportunity for a great install technician to start making the transition into service work!
What You'll Do
• Remove and replace commercial heating and cooling equipment, including furnaces, air conditioners, chillers, and rooftop package units.
• Install modern systems such as Variable Air Volume (VAV) and Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) equipment, along with advanced building controls.
• Run low-voltage control wiring and complete rough-in work.
• Assist with light sheet metal fabrication and installation as needed.
• Follow all applicable federal, state, and local codes and regulations.
• Communicate with customers on-site to answer questions and explain work being performed.
• Work alongside crew members to keep projects on schedule and meet customer expectations.
What You'll Bring
• 2+ years of hands-on HVAC experience.
• Commercial HVAC experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, mechanical drawings, and manufacturer documentation.
• Physical capability to climb ladders, lift heavy equipment, and work in confined spaces.
• Solid troubleshooting instincts when installation challenges arise.
• EPA Universal certification required.
• OSHA 10 required.
