Responsibilities • Commercial/Industrial construction tasks • Consistent and unwavering use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses and steel-toe boots Experience • Installing, setting and removing forms, scaffolding, ramps and barricades • Installing wood and steel stud framing • Installing drywall sheeting • Installing hollow metal doors and frames • Installing commercial door hardware • Installing steel siding • Experience in placement and finishing concrete is an asset Skills • Must be able to execute small projects from start to finish • Must be able to work both independently with little supervision and collaboratively as part of a team, and provide support to site supervisor • Effective communication skills, verbal and written along with valued ethics and integrity • Operate various hand tools, power tools and equipment used to complete carpentry duties, including: circular and table saws, router, pneumatic nail gun, ramset, drills, and other tools used for measuring cutting, fastening and drilling Education • Possess working at heights certificate • Knowledge of workplace safety, safe operation of tools, safe lifting/handling and construction policies Requirements • Valid Driver's License in good standing • Punctuality and time management skills • Capable of lifting 50+ pounds, handling heavy loads, bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing for extended periods of time • Able to work overtime as needed including weeknights and weekends • Able to provide own transportation to site Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Schedule: • Monday to Friday • Overtime (occasional) • Weekends (occasional) Flexible language requirement: • French not required Licence/Certification: • Driver's License (required) Work Location: In person
