Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Residential Service Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and installing electrical systems within residential settings, ensuring safety and compliance with all relevant codes and standards. Responsibilities
• Perform electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting on residential electrical systems using hand tools, multimeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment.
• Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, fixtures, outlets, switches, circuit breakers, and high-voltage systems in homes.
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute installations and repairs.
• Ensure all work complies with local electrical codes, NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC standards, and electrical safety procedures.
• Conduct high-voltage wiring projects safely while adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
• Diagnose issues within complex industrial or commercial electrical systems when necessary to support residential upgrades or renovations.
• Use power tools and hand tools efficiently to complete installations and repairs with precision.
• Assist in renovation projects that involve framing carpentry or handyman tasks as needed to support electrical work.
• Maintain detailed records of all work performed, including inspections, repairs, and upgrades for quality assurance and compliance purposes.
Requirements
• Proven experience as an electrician with a focus on residential service work; industrial or commercial electrician experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of low voltage systems, electrical blueprint reading, and schematic interpretation.
• Familiarity with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC standards, and local electrical codes is essential.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical systems using diagnostic tools such as multimeters, ohmmeters, and circuit testers.
• Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) or industrial electrical systems is advantageous.
• Skilled in high-voltage electrical wiring and working safely around high-voltage environments.
• Proficiency with power tools, hand tools, and construction site safety procedures.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to perform detailed diagnostics efficiently.
• Valid electrician license or certification as required by local jurisdiction; additional certifications in industrial or commercial electrical work are beneficial.
• Prior experience in renovation projects involving framing carpentry or handyman tasks is preferred but not mandatory.
