Welder

Mike Vail Trucking is currently seeking a full-time Welder to join our team. The successful candidate will work in our shop maintaining, repairing, and servicing gravel trucks, trailers, and related equipment. Preferred Experience: Candidates with a background in fleet maintenance will be given preference. Qualifications & Skills: • Red Seal Journeyman Welder certification is considered an asset • Proficiency welding both steel and aluminum • Experience with Stick and MIG welding processes • Ability to perform fabrication work on gravel boxes and trailers • Basic understanding of hydraulics is an asset • Ability to carry out minor mechanical repairs as required Responsibilities Include: • Performing welding, fabrication, and repair work on trucks and trailers • Assisting with general shop maintenance and related duties • Completing required paperwork accurately and on time • Performing other duties as assigned Job Type: Full-time Pay: $40.00-$48.00 per hour Benefits: • Dental care • Disability insurance • Extended health care • Life insurance • On-site parking Experience: • Welding: 3 years (required) Work Location: In person
