This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems. What You’ll Do: • Oversee the general operation, repair, and maintenance of electrical and lighting systems. • Execute new equipment installations. • Check, repair, and replace functional components of electrical and lighting systems. This includes valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, cores, and pipes. • Ensure that equipment is being maintained and operating safely. • Review historical maintenance records to create proactive inspection, testing and preventive maintenance schedules. • Provide efficient and reliable service to customers. • Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/ procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems. • Possess expertise in your own job field and some understanding of various other job disciplines within the function. • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. • Influence the quality of your own work and that of others on the team. • Work primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines. • Simplify complex information and explain to others. Completion of a formal apprenticeship program preferred. • Master Electrician license required as dictated by local electrical codes. • Valid Driver's license required. • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ ladders, and the ability to lift/ carry heavy loads of 40 lbs. or more. • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. • Understanding of electrical procedures and standards to solve complex problems. • Capability to assess possible solutions using technical expertise to apply suitable judgment and precedents. • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
