Maintenance Electrician - Afternoon or Night Shift

A Journeyman Electrician is needed to work as part of the maintenance team consisting of Engineers, Millwrights and Electricians in our safe and clean manufacturing facility. To be considered for this position, you must be able to work, as part of a team, 8 hours per day with a weekly rotating shift; midnights 11:00 pm – 7:00 am, afternoons 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm, and days 7:00 am – 3:00 pm. You must also be able to tolerate warm temperatures in the summer months. This position is responsible for the preventative, predictive and troubleshooting maintenance of production equipment. Knowledge and experience with electrical and mechanical work is necessary. All successful applicants must be able to provide a satisfactory criminal background check, pre-employment medical, and a clear drug test. Troubleshoot problems on plant equipment and facilitate and determine maintenance requirements. Perform proper follow-up on repairs to implement long-term solutions. Responds to breakdowns on plant equipment and in the building. Ability to determine the need for temporary solutions or permanent solutions based on time constraints given by production. Maintains preventative maintenance programs and ensures regular checks and lubrication on all equipment. Assists with the installation of plant equipment and occasionally assists in fabrication. Possesses awareness of what fits are required for various services, including antifriction bearings, and is able to make these fits. Handles heavy equipment safely. Any mechanical-related repairs assigned by the Reliability Manager, Maintenance Supervisor, or Maintenance Coordinator.
