Hand Welder

Job description: Prolium is the leader in above ground storage tank maintenance. When it comes to storage tanks, we do it all from minor repairs and modifications to major tank upgrades. We are currently seeking Hand Welder to start immediately in Edmonton AB. Key Responsibilities: • Fabricating and welding (SMAW) of tank components to the highest of industry standards • Out of position welding (SMAW) • Reading and understanding drawings and blueprints • Use of various tools and equipment under supervision (grinders, hydraulic jacks, etc.) • General work with steel (grinding, buffing, oxy-acetylene use etc.) • Participate in all daily toolboxes and safety meetings • Working with the team to ensure a quality product is delivered. • Must be physically fit and able to safely lift 50 lbs • The work may require you to enter confined Spaces • General jobsite support Key Qualifications: • Punctual attendance is a requirement. • Comply with all safety requirements • Successfully complete a pre-employment drug and alcohol test • Must provide proof of completion of all required safety certifications • Bring a positive, ‘can-do’, ‘safety first’ attitude every day • Participate with the team to build and maintain a productive and safe work environment. • Valid Class 5 driver's license • Valid Journeyman Welder Certification • Interprovincial Red Seal trade ticket is an asset • CWB Ticket all position SMAW • Valid B-Pressure ticket is an asset • Employment is contingent on successful completion of welder’s qualification test (ASME IX) How to Apply If you possess the necessary qualifications and are dedicated to safety, we invite you to apply for the Journeyman Welder position with Prolium Industries.
