Qualifications – Ontario Industrial Facility
• Valid counterbalance forklift certification/licence (required)
• Minimum 1 year of recent forklift operating experience (required)
• Previous experience operating a forklift in an industrial environment
• Forklift licence verification required prior to placement
• Start Date: ASAP
• End Date: 3-month assignment with possibility of permanent employment
• Must be available to work afternoon/evening shifts from Monday to Thursday
• Hours: Monday–Thursday, 4:00 PM – 2:00 AM
Responsibilities:
Forklift Operators are responsible for safely operating counterbalance forklifts and supporting material-handling activities in accordance with workplace safety and operational standards. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
• Operate a counterbalance forklift to safely move, load, unload, and organize materials throughout the facility
• Transport materials and products to designated areas while maintaining safe operating practices
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report any mechanical or safety concerns to the appropriate supervisor
• Load and unload shipments while ensuring materials are handled and stored properly
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all workplace health and safety procedures
Note: Duties may vary slightly based on operational requirements, with specific guidance provided during site orientation.
Experience:
• Minimum 1 year of relevant forklift operating experience (required)
• Previous experience operating a counterbalance forklift in an industrial environment
• Valid forklift certification/licence with verification required
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong awareness of workplace safety procedures and material-handling practices
