Overview
Our client is a well-established and highly reputable Plumbing & HVAC company in the Kitchener area with a strong reputation for quality workmanship, exceptional customer service, and commitment to its team.
They are looking for an experienced Plumber to join their growing team. This is a diverse role offering the opportunity to work on a mix of residential and commercial plumbing projects, including service work, new construction—primarily high-end custom homes—and renovation projects.
The successful candidate will enjoy variety in their day-to-day work and have the opportunity to work across different types of plumbing projects and environments. What You’ll Be Doing
• Perform plumbing installations, repairs, service, and maintenance across a variety of residential and commercial projects.
• Work on new construction, renovations, and service projects, including primarily high-end custom homes as well as commercial properties.
• Diagnose plumbing issues and determine appropriate solutions.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and plumbing plans.
• Complete plumbing installations and repairs in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and best practices.
• Work independently on service calls while also collaborating with other trades and team members on larger construction and renovation projects.
• Provide professional and courteous service to customers while representing the company.
• Communicate effectively with homeowners, contractors, builders, suppliers, and other trades.
• Maintain accurate paperwork, service records, invoices, receipts, and job documentation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Ensure company vehicles, tools, and equipment are properly maintained.
• Participate in an on-call rotation approximately 1 weekend every 8–9 weeks.
• Demonstrate a commitment to quality, safety, professionalism, and customer satisfaction.
What We’re Looking For
• Minimum 8 years of plumbing experience.
• Strong plumbing knowledge with experience in both residential and commercial plumbing.
• Experience working across service, new construction, and renovation projects.
• Experience with high-end custom home construction is considered an asset.
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and plumbing drawings.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail, particularly with paperwork, receipts, and job documentation.
• Ability to work independently while also contributing positively as part of a team.
• Professional appearance, attitude, and strong work ethic.
• Reliable, dependable, and committed to delivering high-quality workmanship.
• Valid Ontario Class G Driver’s Licence and a clean driver’s abstract are required, as a company vehicle will be provided for work-related travel.
• Ability to work Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m., and participate in the on-call rotation ( 1 weekend every 8-9 weeks).
Additional Qualifications
• Backflow Prevention Certification – Strong Asset
• G2 Gas Technician Licence – Asset, but not required
