We are seeking carpenters with at least 2 years of experience in theatrical carpentry. The desired candidate has experience in scenic or exhibit fabrication. Experience in millwork and finish carpentry an asset. Great Lakes Scenic Studios is a one-stop fabrication shop. We specialize in theatrical sets, retail displays, trade shows, public art pieces and so much more. We've worked with world renown clients and thrive on the adventure each new project takes us on. Key Responsibilities: • Carpentry and Fabrication: Construct and assemble scenic elements, sets, and displays according to design specifications and blueprints, utilizing various carpentry techniques and materials. • Precision and Detail: Maintain a high level of precision and attention to detail in all carpentry and assembly work, ensuring the final product meets our quality standards. • Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, guidelines, and best practices while working with tools, machinery, and materials, prioritizing a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues. • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve technical and construction-related challenges that may arise during the fabrication and installation processes.
