Journeyman or Tradesman Plumber – Residential Remodeling

Position Summary: DFW Improved is seeking an experienced Journeyman Plumber to support plumbing work across residential remodeling projects. This role is responsible for completing high-quality plumbing installations, repairs, modifications, and upgrades under the direction of the Master Plumber. The Journeyman Plumber will work closely with project managers, designers, and other trades to help deliver exceptional remodeling results for homeowners. Key Responsibilities: • Perform residential plumbing work for kitchen, bathroom, whole-home, and specialty remodeling projects. • Install, repair, relocate, and modify plumbing systems, fixtures, water lines, drain lines, gas lines, and related components. • Follow project plans, scopes of work, and direction from the Master Plumber. • Coordinate with project managers and other trades to keep projects on schedule. • Maintain a clean, safe, and professional jobsite. • Ensure all work meets company quality standards and applicable plumbing codes. • Communicate material needs, field conditions, and project concerns promptly. • Represent the company professionally when interacting with homeowners, team members, and trade partners. • Report any issues or concerns to the master plumber and the project manager assigned to the job immediately. Qualifications • Current Texas Journeyman Plumber License in good standing. • Residential plumbing experience required. • Remodeling experience strongly preferred. • Ability to read basic plans, layouts, and scopes of work. • Strong understanding of plumbing codes, safety practices, and installation standards. • Reliable, organized, and able to work independently or as part of a team. • Strong communication and customer service skills. • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record preferred. Compensation • Annual base salary of $52,000. • 20% commission on gross revenue generated from completed work. • Commission is earned on qualified plumbing work completed and collected in accordance with company policy. Vehicle Compensation DFW Improved is flexible in how vehicle support is structured for this position. Depending on company needs and the candidate’s preference, the role may include either: • A company-provided vehicle for business use; or • An $11,000 annual vehicle allowance. Final vehicle arrangement will be determined during the hiring process.
