Carpenters Helper Pay: CA$18.00–CA$22.00 per hour (based on experience) About J.I.M. Construction Inc. J.I.M. Construction Inc. is a growing residential construction company specializing in new home construction, including framing as well as residential renovations and additions. We take pride in delivering quality workmanship while maintaining a safe and professional work environment. We are currently seeking a motivated Carpenters Helper to join our team. This is a full-time, permanent position with opportunities to develop your skills and grow within the company. Responsibilities • Assist with new residential construction and renovation projects • Perform quality work efficiently and safely • Use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and other construction equipment properly • Maintain a clean and organized job site • Follow all company safety policies and procedures • Arrive at the job site on time, prepared, and ready to work • Work independently as well as part of a team Qualifications Required: • Basic carpentry knowledge and experience • Experience safely operating hand and power tools • Working at Heights certification (or willingness to obtain) • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English • Basic math skills • Reliable transportation to various job sites • Hard hat, steel toed boots, basic carpentry tools (pouch, measuring tape, hammer, speed square, etc.) • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn Preferred: • Minimum 1 year of carpentry or construction experience Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to: • Work outdoors in varying weather conditions • Work from ladders and at heights • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. occasionally • Climb, balance, kneel, crouch, reach, and perform other physical construction tasks • Maintain good stamina, hand-eye coordination, and vision throughout the workday Benefits • Vacation pay • Paid sick days • Boot allowance Schedule • Full-time • Permanent • Monday to Friday (with occasional weekends as required) Compensation: CA$18.00–CA$22.00 per hour, depending on experience.
