Job Title: Plumber HelperJob Description Join a dynamic team on commercial construction projects, starting with an immediate opportunity at TCU in Fort Worth. This role offers a chance to grow in the plumbing trade while working on high-profile developments throughout the DFW Metroplex, including universities, amphitheaters, hospitals, medical centers, and data centers. Responsibilities • Assist Journeyman Plumbers with the installation of commercial plumbing systems. • Install and assemble PVC, copper, cast iron, and other plumbing piping systems. • Measure, cut, thread, and fit pipe according to project specifications. • Assist with underground, rough-in, top-out, and fixture installation phases. • Install pipe hangers, supports, sleeves, and related hardware. • Read and interpret basic blueprints, layouts, and construction drawings. • Load, unload, and organize materials, tools, and equipment. • Perform jobsite cleanup and maintain a safe work area. • Follow all company and OSHA safety regulations. • Work alongside foremen and project teams to help keep projects on schedule. Essential Skills • 1+ year of plumbing, mechanical, construction, or related trade experience preferred. • Familiarity with commercial plumbing systems is a plus. • Ability to use hand and power tools safely. • Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic construction math. • Dependable transportation and strong attendance record. • Willingness to work overtime and occasional weekends as needed. • Positive attitude and desire to learn the plumbing trade. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience with copper, PVC, cast iron, or PEX piping. • OSHA 10 Certification. • Experience operating scissor lifts or boom lifts. • Enrollment in or completion of a plumbing apprenticeship program. • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the day. • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb for extended periods. • Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions. • Ability to wear required PPE at all times. Employees may be asked to travel to other jobs with a lead person, receiving mileage reimbursement. The work environment requires adherence to safety protocols and the use of personal protective equipment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Worth, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
