ABOUT THE ROLE We are hiring skilled pipe welders at all levels. This is a hands-on pipe welding role — you will lay down code-quality welds on carbon steel, stainless steel, low-alloy, and nickel-alloy pipe from 2" to 60" in diameter, handling fit-up, tacking, and root, fill, and cap passes on production spools as well as non-standard and repair joints. Our welders work within a modern, automated production flow alongside robotic welding cells, but the core of this role is your skill at the pipe. We hire across three levels and place you based on a shop weld test and your experience. BENEFITS • $18-$30 per hour • Schedule: Monday–Friday, with occasional weekend work-based business needs • Pay Frequency: Weekly • Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance • HSA with $700 annual company match • 401(k) with 4% company match • Hospital and Identity Theft coverage • Voluntary Short-Term Disability, Life, and Accident coverage • Company-paid Basic Life, AD&D, and Long-Term Disability insurance • 24/7 office and field support RESPONSIBILITIES • Perform manual pipe welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, low-alloy, and nickel-alloy pipe • Complete joint fit-up, alignment, tacking, and preparation prior to welding • Weld root, fill, and cap passes across a range of pipe diameters and positions • Read and work from fabrication drawings, isometrics, and Stratus-driven spool sheets • Verify preheat and interpass temperatures and proper handling of welding consumables • Address non-standard joint conditions and perform repair welds as needed • Support material traceability from receipt through final inspection • Present welds for third-party NDT and correct any repairs promptly • Maintain a safe, clean, organized work area, including safe operation around collaborative robotics BASIC QUALIFICATIONS • High school diploma or equivalency certificate • Ability to read a tape measure, interpret fabrication drawings, and pass a shop pipe weld test at the level applied for • Familiarity with ASME B31.3, AWS, or other applicable welding codes and standards preferred • Level II and above: current or achievable ASME Section IX qualification in applicable processes PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs unassisted; push/pull up to 75 lbs Must be able to bend, stretch, reach, twist, kneel, crouch, climb stairs and ladders, stand, sit, and walk throughout a shift Comfortable working in an active fabrication shop environment, including elevated temperatures during warmer months Willing to work overtime and weekends as needed to meet critical deadlines LEVELS • Level I: 0-2 years, entry level. • Level II: 2+ years pipe welding. • Level III: 5+ years, strong pipe/pipeline background. • Placement and rate determined by shop weld test and experience WORK AUTHORIZATION Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
