Journeyman Electrician - Traveling Position

Position Title: Journeyman Electrician - Traveling Position Pay: Based on experience Position Summary K&S Electric is excited to welcome a talented and dynamic Journeyman Electrician to our expanding team. This role involves consistent travel to commercial and industrial job sites across the United States, where you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems essential for large-scale construction and infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial and industrial electrical systems. • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and construction drawings. • Install conduit (EMT, RMC, PVC, and flexible conduit), cable tray, wire, panels, switchgear, transformers, and other electrical equipment. • Perform electrical terminations and equipment connections according to project specifications. • Assist with power distribution, lighting systems, motor controls, EV charging infrastructure, conveyor systems, utility projects, and other industrial installations. • Test electrical systems using appropriate meters and diagnostic equipment. • Ensure all work complies with NEC requirements, local electrical codes, and company quality standards. • Identify and resolve electrical issues safely and efficiently. • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. • Communicate effectively with supervisors, project managers, customers, and other trades. • Complete daily reports, documentation, and material tracking as required. • Travel extensively to project sites nationwide for extended assignments. Qualifications • Current Journeyman Electrician License (state-specific or reciprocal where applicable). • Must have industrial electrical experience. • Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC). • Ability to read blueprints and electrical drawings. • Experience installing conduit, wire, panels, switchgear, and electrical equipment. • Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems independently. • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. • Willingness and ability to travel throughout the United States. • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred. • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and varying schedules as project needs require. Physical Requirements • Lift and carry up to 75 pounds. • Stand, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces. • Work outdoors in varying weather conditions. • Perform repetitive bending, lifting, and overhead work. • Ability to work at heights using appropriate fall protection. • Ability to travel for extended periods.
