HVAC Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technician RAM Mechanical – Fort McMurray Branch Location: Fort McMurray, Alberta Employment Type: Full-Time RAM Mechanical is seeking an experienced and reliable HVAC Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technician to join our Fort McMurray branch. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, installing, servicing, and maintaining refrigeration and air-conditioning systems for commercial, industrial, and residential clients throughout the region. About the Role As an HVAC Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technician, you will be expected to diagnose system issues, complete repairs, perform preventative maintenance, and install new equipment safely and efficiently. This position requires strong technical knowledge, problem-solving ability, and a commitment to quality workmanship and customer service. Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot, install, service, and repair refrigeration and air-conditioning systems. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system issues. Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC and refrigeration equipment. Install and commission new systems according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards. Read and interpret drawings, schematics, and technical manuals. Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and equipment documentation. Communicate professionally with customers, supervisors, and team members. Follow all company safety policies, site procedures, and Alberta regulatory requirements. Participate in on-call rotation as required. Qualifications Experience servicing, troubleshooting, and installing HVAC, refrigeration, and air-conditioning systems. Journeyperson Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic certification is preferred. Apprentice technicians with strong field experience may also be considered. Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record. Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work safely in commercial, industrial, and field environments. Must be legally eligible to work in Alberta. Assets Experience with commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems. Boiler experience. Experience working in Fort McMurray, oil sands, or industrial service environments. Safety tickets such as CSTS, First Aid, H2S, Fall Protection, or WHMIS. What We Offer Competitive wages based on experience and qualifications.
