For more information, please visit our website at: www.aggregatetrades.com Job Summary The Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems that support commercial refrigeration, HVAC, and Energy Management System (EMS) projects. This position works alongside refrigeration technicians, project managers, and customers to support new installations, remodels, service work, and preventive maintenance. The ideal candidate is a skilled commercial electrician with strong troubleshooting abilities, a commitment to safety, and the flexibility to travel to customer locations as needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions. • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and control systems supporting commercial refrigeration and HVAC operations. • Read and interpret electrical blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings. • Install conduit, pull wire, terminate panels, disconnects, lighting, and electrical devices. • Assist with the installation and startup of refrigeration equipment and Energy Management Systems (EMS). • Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform repairs to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently. • Test electrical systems and components to verify proper installation and operation. • Perform work in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), local codes, and company safety policies. • Safely operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and other equipment as needed. • Work collaboratively with refrigeration technicians, project managers, subcontractors, and customers to complete projects on schedule. • Safely use hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and other trade-related equipment. • Complete service reports, work orders, and daily documentation using a phone, tablet, or computer. • Travel to assigned customer locations with overnight stays as required for installations, remodels, or service projects. • Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in a clean and service-ready condition. • Provide professional customer service while representing the company. • Supply and maintain personal electrician hand tools. • Perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities • Strong knowledge of commercial electrical systems and wiring methods. • Understanding of electrical codes, materials, and industry safety standards. • Experience troubleshooting electrical systems and controls. • Ability to read electrical drawings and technical documentation. • Proficient in the use of electrical testing equipment, hand tools, and power tools. • Working knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and safe work practices. • Ability to use phones, tablets, or computers to document work and communicate effectively. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. • Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced service environment. Education and Experience • High school diploma or GED required. • Valid Journeyman Electrician license or applicable state electrical license required or 10+ years of applicable experience • Completion of an electrical apprenticeship or equivalent experience. • Experience supporting commercial refrigeration, HVAC, industrial, or service-related projects preferred. • Experience operating forklifts and scissor lifts preferred. • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred. • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required. Physical Requirements • Ability to distinguish color-coded electrical wiring. • Ability to stand, kneel, bend, climb ladders, and work in varying environments for extended periods. • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds and safely move equipment using appropriate lifting devices. • Manual dexterity to operate electrical tools, testing equipment, and install wiring and electrical components. Work Environment & Working Conditions • Work is performed in commercial facilities, construction sites, and customer locations supporting refrigeration and HVAC operations. • Exposure to electrical hazards, changing weather conditions, and active job sites. • Ability to travel, including overnight stays of up to two to three weeks, based on project and customer needs. • Must be able to travel for long distances in planes and/or work vehicles. • Work schedules may include overtime, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts as required to support customer operations.
