Welder/Fabricator

Tru-Kare Tank and Meter Service is a Transport Canada pressure vessel inspection facility, commercial vehicle inspection facility and industrial paint shop. Welding duties include: • New fabrication of components and pressure piping systems for various transport and storage projects. We mainly work on propane, NH3, liquid nitrogen/oxygen/LNG transport and storage vessels. • Refurbishing and weld repair work on transport trucks and trailers. This includes pressure vessel repair, structural work, threaded and welded pressure piping and components. Remounting vessels onto new chassis and fabricating new components from shop drawings. • Working on storage vessels and skids including skid replacement, fabrication, and modifications. Modifying, replacing and new fabrication of threaded and welded pressure piping systems including valving, pumps, delivery systems and miscellaneous welding work. Candidates should be proficient with GMAW and SMAW on mild steel, stainless and aluminum. GTAW experience would be an asset but not required. Preference would be given to B-pressure welders and welders with strong fabrication skills but if a candidate has other mechanical skills that fit our scope of work you will definitely be considered. Must be physically fit, able to enter confined spaces, a quick learner, able to work with minimal supervision and supply basic hand & power tools.
