Skilled Labourer / Finish Carpenter

NorthPeak Homes – Kingston and Surrounding Area NorthPeak Homes is looking for a reliable, versatile Carpenter / Interior Finisher to join our growing construction team. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who takes pride in their work, can move confidently between different construction tasks, and does not require constant supervision. Responsibilities include: • Installing interior doors, casings, baseboards, shelving and other finish carpentry • Completing minor drywall repairs, taping, sanding and paint touch-ups • Installing and replacing windows and exterior doors • Performing demolition and site preparation • Completing deficiencies, warranty items and project closeout work • Assisting with renovations, additions, custom homes and insurance restoration projects • Maintaining a clean, organized and safe worksite • Communicating material needs, site issues and progress to the project team • Supporting other construction activities as required The ideal candidate will have: • Experience in residential carpentry, renovations or interior finishing • Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship • The ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks efficiently • A dependable work ethic and consistent attendance • Good problem-solving and communication skills • Familiarity with basic drywall, painting, demolition and window installation • A valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation • Basic personal hand tools Experience is important, but reliability, initiative and a willingness to take ownership of the work are equally valuable. NorthPeak Homes completes custom homes, renovations, multi-unit residential projects and insurance restoration work throughout Kingston and the surrounding Eastern Ontario region.
