Forklift & Heavy Equipment Operator-Beaumont,Texas

• Operates and maintains forklift truck to ensure safe and efficient operation. • Transports material in between departments. • Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers • Maintain a steady flow of material through the yard. • Oversee the condition of the entire yard, all roads and pipe racks. • Communicate and coordinate with previous shift driver and relief driver. Proper and thorough turn-over. • Know the Beaumont yard layout. • Know proper marking and identification of pipe. • Return tools to proper places at the end of each shift. • Perform preoperational checks on forklifts and report all service concerns. • Know and adhere to proper moving and handling procedures of XL Systems products. • Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the grounds through regular inspection and maintenance. • Ensure company equipment and material is maintained, kept clean, and stored in a safe manner. • Performs preventive maintenance and minor repairs on equipment and machinery • Complete required paperwork, reporting, and other documentation as required • Read gauges, dials, and other indicators, adjusting them is necessary. • Troubleshoot heavy equipment; ability to detect and fix operating problems. • Ability to lead a team in the absence of Material Control Manager. • Perform all tasks and duties in harmony with other employees to create and maintain a safe working environment. • Ensure compliance of the company's QHSE policies, and corporate code and overall company's objectives Other duties as defined by Facility Material Manager
