NOW HIRING - ELECTRICAL QUALITY INSPECTOR Job Description Our client is looking for an Electrical Quality Inspector to join a project at BHP Jansen in Saskatchewan. The Electrical Quality Inspector ​will be responsible for inspecting and testing activities for the construction of electrical and instrumentation on the project. The role involves basic electrical inspection, understanding the quality program (ITPs, installation procedures), overseeing meggering and point-to-point, walk-downs, and punching completed systems. MUST HAVES - 1+ years of electrical quality / inspection experience, at least 5+ as a Journeyman electrician - Instrumentation experience - 5 years of experience in heavy industrial environments (600V+ systems) - Strong working knowledge of the CSA Electrical Code - Experience with: - Electrical ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans) - Installation procedures - Meggering (insulation resistance testing of electrical conductors) and point‑to‑point testing (verifies that each conductor is correctly connected from its origin to its destination) -System walk‑downs and punch‑listing - Familiarity with: (the candidate just needs to be familiar with these electrical items as the BHP scope will be glanding (securing and sealing a cable where it enters equipment) and terminating (connecting the cable wires to the terminals inside the equipment) within each. There will be no FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) or commissioning testing for them. Working on these items will be a small scope of work) - Motor Control Centres (MCCs) - Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) - PLC‑controlled systems NICE TO HAVES - Experience using Hexagon Smart Completions (training provided) - Experience with Bluebeam for redlining drawings Work Environment: This role will be on site with a 14/7 rotation, camp and travel reimbursement provided. The contract is expected to go until late November with potential to extend. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Leroy, SK.
