Residential Electrician – New Home Construction Superior Skilled Trades is seeking an experienced and dependable Residential Electrician for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Indian Trail, NC. This is a great opportunity for an experienced electrician looking for steady, long-term work with a reputable residential electrical contractor. PAY: $21.00–$24.00/hour, based on experience HOURS: 7:00 AM–4:30 PM SCHEDULE: Monday–Friday, approximately 40+ hours/week START DATE: ASAP DURATION: Temp-to-hire / potential permanent placement The Residential Electrician will perform electrical installation, wiring, troubleshooting, and finishing work on new home construction and residential projects. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working independently and alongside a crew while maintaining quality and safety standards. Responsibilities • Install residential wiring, outlets, switches, lighting, panels, breakers, and electrical equipment • Perform rough-in and finish electrical work on new construction • Run and terminate wiring through walls, ceilings, attics, crawl spaces, and other areas • Install and troubleshoot lighting, receptacles, GFCI/AFCI devices, smoke detectors, and other components • Assist with panel installations, replacements, and service upgrades • Diagnose electrical issues using meters and testing equipment • Read and interpret electrical plans, blueprints, and diagrams • Ensure work complies with NEC, applicable electrical codes, and safety requirements • Maintain a clean and organized work area • Communicate professionally with contractors, homeowners, and other trades • Complete work efficiently while maintaining quality workmanship • Follow company safety procedures and OSHA requirements Qualifications • Previous residential electrical experience • Knowledge of residential wiring methods and electrical systems • Ability to read blueprints and electrical diagrams • Familiarity with NEC requirements and local electrical codes • Experience using electrical hand tools, power tools, meters, and testing equipment • Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues safely and efficiently • Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation • Strong communication and customer-service skills Physical Requirements • Ability to lift and carry electrical materials and equipment • Ability to work from ladders and lifts • Ability to work in attics, crawl spaces, basements, and other confined areas • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, reach, and work for extended periods Proper use of PPE • Steel-toe boots • Hard hat • Safety vest • Safety glasses • Work gloves Preferred Qualifications • Journeyman Electrician license • Electrical apprenticeship or technical training • OSHA certification • Experience with new residential construction, remodeling, and service work Tools Required • Side cutters • Dikes • Impact drill • Screwdriver set • Level • Hacksaw • Channel-lock pliers To apply: Send resume through Indeed then text NC Electrician to 321-352-6470 with your name.
