Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Technician

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician with a servant heart to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a wide range of mechanical systems related to heating, cooling, ventilation, refrigeration, and building automation systems. Responsibilities • Install, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC equipment including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration systems, and mechanical systems in commercial and residential settings • Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and building automation system diagrams to accurately diagnose issues • Perform electrical diagnostics and plumbing work related to HVAC systems to ensure proper operation and safety compliance • Conduct routine maintenance on HVAC/R equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend system lifespan • Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment for repairs and system modifications • Diagnose complex mechanical problems using mechanical knowledge and field service techniques • Maintain detailed service records, inspection reports, and logs of all work performed for compliance and quality assurance Requirements • Proven experience as a service technician with a strong background in HVAC system installation and repair • Construction experience or property maintenance background preferred • Knowledge of schematics, HVAC design principles, and building automation systems • Familiarity with refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration is a plus • Ability to perform electrical diagnostics using specialized tools such as ohmmeters • Mechanical knowledge related to HVAC/R equipment repair including boilers and mechanical systems • Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications such as HVAC/R or appliance repair are advantageous • Experience with plumbing, welding, boiler operation, or enhances your candidacy • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to operate driver vehicles required • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in field service environments Join us if you’re passionate about maintaining high standards in building comfort systems and customer service.
