Master Plumber

Apex Home Services is a growing DFW home-services company focused on dependable workmanship, transparent pricing and an excellent customer experience. We are expanding our plumbing division and looking for an experienced, hands-on Texas Master Plumber who wants to help build and lead the operation. This is not a license-only position. We need a working plumbing leader who can perform service calls, supervise plumbing work, maintain code compliance and help develop a high-quality plumbing team. Responsibilities • Serve as Apex’s Responsible Master Plumber, if qualified and mutually agreed • Perform residential and light-commercial plumbing service and installation work • Diagnose plumbing problems and present clear repair options • Pull permits and coordinate required inspections • Supervise plumbers, apprentices and subcontractors • Ensure work complies with Texas plumbing laws, local codes and company standards • Review estimates, job scopes and completed work • Develop plumbing procedures, pricing standards and quality-control processes • Help recruit, train and mentor future plumbing technicians • Maintain accurate job documentation, photographs and customer records • Provide professional, respectful service to customers throughout DFW • Provide scheduled weekend coverage at least two weekends per month Qualifications • Active Texas Master Plumber license in good standing • Current Responsible Master Plumber designation, or ability to qualify • Strong residential service and installation experience • Commercial plumbing experience is a plus • Thorough understanding of permitting, inspections and Texas plumbing codes • Ability to diagnose, estimate and complete work independently • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record • Strong communication and customer-service skills • Comfortable helping build the plumbing operation of a growing company What We Offer • Competitive compensation of $35–$40, based on experience • Performance-based bonus opportunities • Company-provided leads and administrative support • Company vehicle or vehicle allowance, depending on the candidate • Scheduled weekday compensatory time off for required weekend coverage • Opportunity to build and lead the plumbing division • Direct access to ownership and meaningful input into company operations • Long-term growth opportunity as Apex expands across DFW Schedule This is a full-time position with a rotating schedule. The Master Plumber will provide coverage for at least two weekends per month. Equivalent scheduled time off will be provided during the workweek, consistent with applicable wage-and-hour requirements. Weekend schedules and corresponding weekday time off will be planned in advance whenever possible.
