Role Description The Electrical Foreman is a full-time, on-site role based in Kingston, ON, responsible for supervising electrical crews and coordinating daily project activities. This role includes planning and assigning tasks, overseeing installations and repairs, and ensuring work is completed according to drawings, specifications, and applicable electrical codes. The Electrical Foreman will perform hands-on electrical work, troubleshoot issues, verify material and equipment needs, and maintain accurate documentation of job progress. The role also involves enforcing safety procedures, conducting site inspections, mentoring team members, and communicating with project managers, clients, and other trades to keep projects on schedule and within scope. Qualifications • Strong knowledge of electricity fundamentals and safe work practices in electrical environments. • Experience in electrical contracting, including managing crews, coordinating jobs, and working with clients and other trades. • Applied understanding of electrical engineering concepts relevant to construction projects and system layouts. • Proficiency in electrical wiring, installation of panels and fixtures, and reading blueprints and electrical schematics. • Advanced troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving electrical faults, performance issues, and safety concerns. • Valid electrician license or certification (e.g., Journeyperson or Red Seal) and familiarity with Ontario Electrical Safety Code. • Proven leadership abilities, including team supervision, training, and performance feedback. • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and commitment to safety procedures. • Effective verbal and written communication skills for interacting with crew members, contractors, and clients. • Previous experience as an Electrical Foreman or senior electrician in commercial or industrial projects is an asset.
