Journeyman Plumber

Plumber – Commercial Projects 8 Point Mechanical Inc. is a growing commercial and institutional mechanical contractor working across Toronto and the east side of the GTA. We are looking for a Plumber to join our project team on new installations, upgrades, and system replacements. Job Duties include but are not limited to: • Project-based mechanical and plumbing installations • Install, modify, and replace piping systems in mechanical rooms and plant spaces • Measure, layout, cut, thread, and assemble piping systems • Thread, solder, and mechanically join piping and fittings • Install pipe supports, valves, pumps, hangers, and mechanical equipment • Assist with mechanical room builds, equipment changeouts, and system upgrades • Perform pressure testing and basic commissioning checks • Coordinate work with supervisors, other trades, and apprentices • Maintain a clean and safe work environment Qualifications and Experience: • Ontario Certificate of Qualification (306A ) • Minimum 2 years of project-based commercial or institutional experience • Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications • Familiarity with mechanical room installations • G2 Gas Technician License is considered an asset • Backflow Prevention Certification is an asset Working Conditions and Schedule: • Work on active construction and retrofit project sites • Occasional evening or weekend work for shutdowns or critical installations • Ability to work in confined spaces and perform physical tasks • Lift up to 50 lbs as required What We Offer: • Competitive hourly wage based on experience • Steady, year-round project work • Company vehicle provided • Health benefits including extended health, vision, and life insurance Job Type: Full-time Pay: $45.00-$55.00 per hour Benefits: • Company events • Dental care • Extended health care • Life insurance • On-site parking • Vision care Work Location: In person
