Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Plumber / Gas Fitter to join our growing team in Duncan, BC. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality results on every job. This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, including plumbing, heating, and gas fitting installations, repairs, and maintenance. HVAC experience is considered a strong asset, and travel throughout Vancouver Island and surrounding areas is required.

Responsibilities
• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing and gas systems
• Service and install hot water tanks, boilers, furnaces, and heating systems
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing and gas issues
• Ensure work complies with BC plumbing and gas codes, safety standards, and company policies
• Collaborate with apprentices and team members to complete projects efficiently
• Travel to job sites across Vancouver Island and surrounding areas
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in good condition
• Provide excellent customer service and represent HART Mechanical Services with professionalism

Qualifications
• Journeyman Plumber certification (Red Seal preferred)
• Class B Gas Fitter ticket (required); Class A considered an asset
• Valid BC driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Strong knowledge of plumbing and gas codes and regulations
• HVAC experience considered a strong asset
• Willingness and ability to travel for work assignments
• Ability to read technical documents and drawings
• Experience with residential and/or commercial systems
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $42.50-$51.00 per hour
