NEC edition in Wyoming

Wyoming has adopted 2023 (NEC / NFPA 70), effective July 1, 2023. The adopting authority is Wyoming Department of Fire Prevention and Electrical Safety (State Fire Marshal / Electrical Board). Verified June 28, 2026.

Wyoming enforces the 2023 National Electrical Code statewide through the Department of Fire Prevention and Electrical Safety / State Electrical Board, effective July 1, 2023. Cities and counties that operate their own certified inspection departments may add local ordinances within their boundaries.
