Duties • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems on construction sites, including commercial and industrial facilities. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical layouts. • Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as ohmmeters and NEC (National Electrical Code) standards to ensure precise work. • Troubleshoot electrical issues involving low voltage and high voltage systems using diagnostic tools like multimeters and schematics. • Work with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) for automation and control system projects. • Assist with renovation projects by updating existing wiring and electrical infrastructure while adhering to safety protocols. • Collaborate with other trades such as frame carpentry and general contractors to complete projects efficiently. • Follow all safety guidelines related to NEC standards, construction site protocols, and electrical codes to maintain a secure work environment. • Maintain detailed records of work performed, including inspections, test results, and compliance documentation. • Support handyman tasks when needed to ensure project completion within scope and schedule. Experience • Proven experience as an industrial or commercial electrician with a strong understanding of electrical systems in construction environments. • Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and technical diagrams essential for accurate installations. • Hands-on experience with low voltage wiring, high voltage systems, and control panels involving Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs). • Skilled in using hand tools such as wire strippers, pliers, screwdrivers; power tools including drills and saws; and testing instruments like ohmmeters. • Prior work on renovation projects or construction sites demonstrating adaptability and safety awareness. • Knowledge of NEC standards governing electrical installations across various settings. • Ability to interpret schematics for complex wiring configurations involving both low voltage and high voltage systems. • Experience working with construction teams on-site to meet project deadlines while maintaining quality standards. • Additional skills such as schematic reading, frame carpentry basics, handyman experience, or familiarity with industrial electrician practices are highly valued.
