Journeyman & Mid–Senior Level Apprentice Plumber/Gasfitter
Points West Mechanical – Edmonton, AB
Full-Time · Permanent · Apprenticeship
Wage: $20.25–$40.50 per hour + 10% vacation pay
Overtime: 1.5x after 80 hrs bi‑weekly (based on site schedule)
Review: Wage review after 3‑month probation, with performance and attendance incentives

We are expanding and looking for experienced 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year apprentices as well as journeyman/woman plumbers/gasfitters who want to take on more responsibility, work on diverse projects, and grow into leadership roles.

What You’ll Work On:
You’ll take on higher‑level tasks across:
• Parkade and walk‑up condo developments
• Commercial construction projects
• Residential plumbing and gasfitting
• Job sites in Edmonton and surrounding areas

What We’re Looking For:

• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and personal hand tools
• Strong mechanical aptitude and confidence with power tools

• Leadership qualities and the ability to mentor junior apprentices

• Effective communication and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to follow instructions and adapt to changing site needs
Key Responsibilities:
• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and fixtures
• Troubleshoot and diagnose plumbing issues
• Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings
• Assemble and install pipes, fittings, and fixtures
• Test systems for leaks and ensure proper operation
• Coordinate with mechanical subtrades and other trades
• Provide professional customer service and address client concerns
Qualifications:
• Proven plumbing experience or similar trade experience
• Strong understanding of plumbing codes and regulations
• Ability to read and interpret plumbing blueprints
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
• Piping layout experience is an asset
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and customer service skills
