Job Description
WORLD-CLASS DESIGN. MODERN MANUFACTURING
Journeyperson Welder / Millwright
Saskatoon, Saskatchewan
Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
$28.00–$40.00/hour (based on experience)
At RMD, our purpose is simple:
Drive change to make the world better.
Our niche is even more unique:
We build what isn’t there in the One Health space — supporting environmental, human, and animal innovation.
That means the parts you weld contribute to solutions that don’t yet exist — new technology, new systems, new impact.
And as our company evolves, so does our manufacturing approach.
Where We’re Headed
We are transitioning from a traditional job shop model to a more structured, production-focused manufacturing environment. That includes:
• Stronger process discipline
• Greater efficiency and repeatability
• Investment in advanced CNC equipment
• Gradual integration of automation technologies
We’re also implementing the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) to strengthen accountability, communication, and execution across our organization.
We’re looking for a Journeyperson Welder, and/or, Millwright who is either experienced with modern manufacturing practices — or motivated to learn and grow as our equipment and capabilities evolve.
Who We Are
RMD is a Saskatchewan-owned, fully integrated engineering and manufacturing company serving industrial automation, advanced manufacturing, research, and resource development sectors.
Our Saskatoon facility houses high-end CNC technology entering commercialization after years of research and development. We’re not just making parts — we’re scaling innovation.
Our values guide everything we do:
RUTID

• Unity – WE win as a team
• Trust – WE do what we say
• Integrity – WE do the right thing
• Drive - WE push forward
The Opportunity
We are seeking either:

• A Journeyperson Millwright experienced in industrial equipment maintenance and rebuilds
Cross-skilled candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.

• Perform high-quality welds to code and company standards

• Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble equipment to OEM specifications
• Conduct preventative maintenance and maintain detailed records
• Support rebuild and service work for utility, mining, and pulp & paper clients
• Collaborate with fabrication and machining teams during builds
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and efficiency
Strong troubleshooting ability and mechanical precision are essential.

• Value teamwork, accountability, and high standards
Safety Is Our #1 Priority
You will receive proper training before undertaking any task, have access to required PPE, and always have the right to refuse unsafe work. We strictly follow health, safety, and quality standards to ensure everyone goes home safe.
If you are a skilled Welder, a Millwright with fabrication strength, or a cross-trained tradesperson ready to grow alongside a company modernizing its equipment, manufacturing processes, and management systems — we want to hear from you.
