Position Overview
This is a hands-on, multi-functional role ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for welding fabrication, powder coating preparation and application, and assisting with shipping and receiving duties with the potential growth into helping with customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Welding & Fabrication
• Perform MIG welding on steel components
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Operate fabrication equipment safely and efficiently
• Inspect finished welds to ensure quality standards are met
Powder Coating
• Prepare surfaces (cleaning, sanding, masking) for powder coating
• Apply powder coating using spray equipment
• Operate curing ovens and monitor temperature settings
• Inspect finished products for quality and consistency
Shipping & Receiving
• Assist with receiving incoming materials and verify against purchase orders
• Assist with package finished products for shipment
• Assist with loading and unload deliveries safely
• Assist with accurate inventory records
• Assist with keeping warehouse and production areas organized
Qualifications
• Experience in MIG welding
• Previous powder coating experience preferred (willing to train the right candidate)
• Experience in shipping & receiving preferred (willing to train the right candidate)
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Forklift certification (asset but not required)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
