Journeyperson Electrician

Responsibilities: - Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in accordance with local codes and regulations - Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to determine the layout of electrical systems - Inspect electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers, to identify any defects or hazards - Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using testing devices - Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and make necessary repairs or replacements - Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects on time and within budget - Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices as needed Requirements: - Journeyman/Journeywoman Electrician license or equivalent certification - Proven experience as a Journeyperson Electrician in a similar role - Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including low voltage and industrial applications - Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams - Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment - Ability to work independently and as part of a team to complete projects efficiently - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail - Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require lifting heavy objects or working in confined spaces Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
