Our client, a respected leader in commercial and industrial building services, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead HVAC Technician to join their team in Raleigh, North Carolina, US . This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing installation, maintenance, and repair of complex HVAC systems. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of various HVAC equipment, diagnostic tools, and safety protocols. You will lead a team of technicians, provide technical guidance, troubleshoot challenging issues, and ensure the highest standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities to effectively coordinate with clients and internal teams. You will be responsible for ensuring that all work performed meets industry standards and regulatory requirements. This role involves significant fieldwork and requires a commitment to safety and quality.
Responsibilities: Install, maintain, and repair a wide range of HVAC systems, including commercial and industrial units. Diagnose and troubleshoot complex HVAC system malfunctions using advanced diagnostic tools. Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Lead and mentor a team of HVAC technicians, providing technical guidance and support. Oversee project execution, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to code. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies. Manage inventory of parts and equipment for assigned projects. Provide exceptional customer service and build strong client relationships. Conduct quality control inspections and ensure all work meets standards. Prepare detailed work reports and documentation. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a vocational training program in HVAC or a related field is strongly preferred. Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience as an HVAC technician, with a proven track record in commercial/industrial settings. EPA Universal Certification is required. Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigerants, electrical components, and control systems. Experience with diagnostic equipment and tools. Demonstrated leadership and team management skills. Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic abilities. Ability to read and understand technical drawings and schematics. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various environmental conditions.
