HVAC Plant Operator – Federal Facility Nashville, TN 37212 Contract: March 1, 2026 – February 28, 2027 Openings: 4 Positions Sector: Federal – Veterans Health Administration (VA) Overview We are seeking experienced HVAC Plant Operators to support operations at a VA Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Candidates will assist VA operators and operate large commercial HVAC systems in a hospital environment. Key Responsibilities • Operate and monitor HVAC plant systems • Start, stop, and adjust chillers and air handling equipment • Perform hourly equipment inspections and log readings • Monitor alarms and adjust temperatures as needed • Respond to building system malfunctions • Perform preventative maintenance and maintain equipment areas • Provide shift handoff communication Equipment Experience Experience working with: • Centrifugal and reciprocating chillers • Cooling towers and pumps • Air handling units • Condenser and chilled water systems • Computer room AC units Minimum Requirements • 12 months commercial HVAC or building operations experience • EPA 608 Universal Refrigerant License (Required) • Experience working with large HVAC systems Security Requirements • Must qualify for VA Tier 1 background investigation • Must obtain PIV badge Schedule Training Schedule (First 45 Days) Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM After Training Rotating shifts including: • 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM • 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM Must be available for 24/7 coverage and federal holidays if scheduled.
