Indoor Welder B Pressure - Fabrication Shop (Acheson, AB)

SUMMARY Primoris Canada is seeking Journeyman Welder B Pressure welders to support a multiple long-term projects at our fabrication shop in Acheson, AB. This position involves pressure pipe welding in a controlled indoor fabrication environment, supporting small diameter pipe spools and fabricated assemblies ranging from 2” to 12” in size. Start Date: April-May Location: Acheson Facility – Indoor Fabrication Shop Shift: Dayshift – 4 x 10s (Mon-Thurs. 6am to 4:30pm) with potential of overtime Inclusive Rate: $56.56 (inclusive of employer contributions) Hourly Rate: $45.30 JOB DUTIES • Perform B-pressure pipe welding in an indoor fabrication shop • Comply with Company safety requirements • Read and interpret weld procedures (WPS) and isometric drawings • Weld using SMAW, and STT/FCAW processes • Complete roll welds, groove welds, and fillet welds • Inspect and verify weld quality to code and specifications • Work safely around overhead cranes, rigging, and material handling equipment • Participate in toolbox meetings and safety orientations • Maintain housekeeping within indoor work areas • Perform other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS • Alberta registered Journeyman Welder • Valid B-Pressure Ticket recognized by ABSA • Experience with roll welding, groove, and fillet welds • Fabrication shop experience preferred • CSTS-20 • Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs • Strong commitment to safety and quality • Team-oriented and self-motivated • Pre-employment alcohol and drug testing is a condition of employment. • WHMIS BENEFITS • Retirement Savings Plan • Health and Dental • Employee & Family Assistance Program • Prescription Safety Glasses Reimbursement Program • $1250 PAPR welding helmet reimbursement after 1000hrs Pre-employment alcohol and drug testing is a condition of employment.
