Forklift Operator (Day Shift)

We provide various operational logistics services such as loading, transportation and storage of surplus products. Ray-Mont Logistics is currently seeking a permanent full time Forklift Operator to join its vibrant team. The purpose of the Forklift Operator is to efficiently and safely handling the reception, inventory, and movement of various products using both small and large forklifts/grapples. Your Work Schedule : • Day Shift : 6AM to 6PM • On a rotating pattern, employees work 4 days on and 4 days off What We Offer: • Competitive salary • Advancement opportunities within the company • Full group insurance plan, with employer contribution • RRSP program • 24/7 telemedicine access for you and your family • Employee Assistance Program (PAE) for confidential support (mental health, financial, legal, and personal support) • $200 per year in Ray-Mont Logistics branded merchandise Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities: • Ensure the opening of railcar hoppers using the forklift. • Operate small and large forklifts or grapples to handle incoming and outgoing forestry and agricultural products daily (approximately 70% of the job) • Receive and verify the accuracy of shipments and accurate inventory records • Unload and transship palletized or ground-loaded goods, ensuring goods are properly secured and placed • Safely transport materials to stack and store products in designated areas • Inspect forklifts and other equipment to ensure they are in safe operating condition • Always follow safety procedures and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries • Assist with other general tasks and duties as assigned • Prep container piles for shipping What We’re Looking For: • High school diploma or equivalent preferred • 2 to 3 years of experience driving a forklift in a warehouse or industrial setting • Consciousness of space and ability to operate the forklift in tight space • Valid forklift certification (an asset) • Ability to lift heavy objects (less than 100 pounds) and work in a fast-paced environment • Required skills include autonomy, meticulousness, organization and speed of execution • Ability to follow safety regulations and procedures What It’s Like to Work Here: You’ll be operating a forklift for most of your shift, it’s an active, outdoor role that keeps you moving but you’ll get plenty of fresh air Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $28.00 per hour Benefits: • Company events • Dental care • Extended health care • Life insurance • On-site parking • Paid time off • RRSP match • Vision care Application question(s): • Do you have a valid drivers license and a vehicle? • Can you work a 6am-6pm shift?
