Material Handler Forklift Operator - 30 Ton

Responsibilities • Operate a 30-ton forklift and possibly other heavy equipment such as cranes and pallet jacks to load, unload, and move materials safely across the warehouse. • Conduct heavy lifting tasks safely while adhering to OSHA standards, including handling materials with mechanical knowledge of machinery. • Maintain organized storage areas by securing loads with appropriate equipment, and ensuring optimal space utilization. • Assist with warehouse distribution activities by supporting order picker operations and participating in warehouse management system updates. • Support warehouse supervision by adhering to safety protocols, conducting routine equipment inspections, and reporting any mechanical issues promptly. Skills • Extensive experience in distribution, shipping & receiving, and materials handling. • Proficiency operating forklifts (30-ton capacity) and other heavy equipment. • Strong mechanical knowledge related to heavy machinery operation and maintenance. • Familiarity with OSHA safety standards for warehouse environments. • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining efficiency during high-volume tasks. • Steel or industrial background is a plus for understanding complex logistics workflows. • Excellent organizational skills with a focus on safety compliance and operational accuracy.
