Journeyman Electrician

Max Electric is seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Journeyman Electrician to join our growing team in Livonia, Michigan. We specialize in commercial electrical construction projects throughout Southeast Michigan and are looking for a highly motivated electrician who takes pride in delivering quality workmanship and maintaining the highest safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot commercial electrical systems

• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, and project specifications

• Install conduit, wiring, lighting, panels, switchgear, and distribution equipment

• Perform commercial electrical rough-in and finish work

• Ensure all work meets NEC requirements and local electrical codes

• Coordinate effectively with project managers, general contractors, and other trades

• Mentor apprentices and assist in maintaining efficient job site operations

• Follow OSHA and company safety procedures at all times

Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrician License preferred

• Minimum 4 years of commercial electrical construction experience

• Strong knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC)

• Experience with EMT, rigid conduit, and electrical distribution systems

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

• Ability to work in active construction environments and lift 50+ pounds
