Journeyman Electrician

Overview Interlock Mechanical Services Ltd. is currently seeking a skilled and experienced FSR-B Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic and growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional with a solid background in residential and commercial construction who is ready to step into a leadership role—overseeing project installations and mentoring apprentices. Key Responsibilities • Lead and manage electrical installations for both commercial and residential projects from inception to completion • Supervise, mentor, and support apprentices and junior electricians to ensure safe, high-quality workmanship • Collaborate with project managers and other trades to ensure projects are completed on time and on budget • Accurately interpret and work from blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications • Ensure all work complies with the BC Electrical Code and relevant safety standards • Conduct quality control checks and provide troubleshooting during and post-installation • Lead by example, consistently demonstrating professionalism, accountability, and strong leadership What We’re Looking For • Valid FSR-B Certification and Red Seal Journeyman Electrician ticket (required) • A minimum of 3–5 years' experience in residential and/or commercial electrical work • Previous supervisory or leadership experience is a strong asset • Solid understanding of commercial tenant improvements and new residential construction • Strong troubleshooting and independent problem-solving abilities • Excellent communication and organizational skills • Self-motivated, dependable, and committed to delivering high-quality results What We Offer • Competitive, above-industry-standard wages • Comprehensive benefits package after 90 days of employment • Steady, year-round 40-hour work weeks • Opportunities to expand your skill set across multiple construction disciplines • Clear long-term career development paths, including leadership and project management roles Take the next step in your plumbing career with a company that values your expertise and invests in your future.
