Licensed Service Plumber (Journeyman or Tradesman) - San Antonio, TX

Roadrunner Plumbing & Air is seeking a licensed Tradesman or Journeyman Plumber for a full-time, service-focused position in the San Antonio area. This is not an apprentice or helper position. Licensed Plumbing experience is required. This role is intended for an experienced plumber who is confident in diagnosing plumbing issues, communicating solutions to customers, and completing repairs to code. We are looking for a dependable, professional individual who can work independently in the field and take pride in quality workmanship. Position Summary The plumber in this role will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, and repairing residential and light commercial plumbing systems. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, sound judgment, and the ability to represent the company professionally in customers’ homes and businesses. Primary Responsibilities • Diagnose plumbing issues accurately and recommend appropriate solutions • Perform service and repair work on residential and light commercial plumbing systems • Work on water heaters, tankless water heaters, water softeners, fixtures, shut-off valves, drain systems, and related components • Complete work in compliance with applicable local and state plumbing codes • Communicate findings, repair options, and recommendations clearly and professionally with customers • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite and company vehicle • Follow company procedures, documentation requirements, and service processes • Manage daily assignments with minimal supervision while maintaining productivity and workmanship standards Required Qualifications • Active Texas Tradesman or Journeyman Plumbing License • Minimum 2 years of plumbing service experience • Experience diagnosing and repairing residential plumbing systems • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record • Ability to pass background and motor vehicle screening • Must have own basic hand and power tools Preferred Qualifications • Tankless water heater experience • Experience working directly with customers in a service environment • Ability to interpret plumbing layouts and system configurations • Strong communication and problem-solving skills What We Value • Professionalism and respect in the customer’s home • Strong diagnostic ability • Accountability and reliability • Pride in workmanship • Positive attitude and willingness to follow systems and processes • Ability to work independently while contributing to a strong team culture Compensation and Benefits • Full-time position • Performance bonus opportunities • Company vehicle for licensed plumbers • Paid time off • $1,000 annual tuition/training reimbursement • Company-paid events • Health insurance available after 90 days, with employer contribution • Dental and vision insurance available after 90 days Schedule • Monday through Friday • Rotating weekends Work Location • San Antonio, TX • In person / field-based Applicant Requirements Do not apply unless you meet all of the following requirements: • Active Texas Tradesman or Journeyman Plumbing License • At least 2 years of plumbing service experience • Valid driver’s license • Ability to pass background and driving record review Job Type: Full-time Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour Benefits: • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Paid time off • Professional development assistance • Vision insurance Application Question(s): • Do you currently hold an active Texas Tradesman or Journeyman License? • How many years of plumbing service experience do you have? • Do you have experience diagnosing residential plumbing issues in the field? • Are you comfortable communicating repair recommendations directly to customers? • Do you have a valid driver's license and clean driving record? • Do you have your own plumbing hand and power tools?
