Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Plumber to join our dynamic construction team in Amarillo. As a Journeyman Plumber, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across various commercial and residential projects. Your expertise will ensure that plumbing installations meet all safety standards, building codes, and client specifications. Responsibilities • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances on construction sites. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute plumbing layouts. • Operate hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, and welding equipment safely and efficiently. • Collaborate with project managers, electricians, HVAC technicians, and carpenters to coordinate installation activities. • Conduct inspections of plumbing systems to ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations. • Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment while maintaining proper safety protocols. • Assist with remodeling, maintenance tasks, and field service requests as needed to support ongoing projects. • Sometimes, there will be tunnels to access and high places to climb. Skills • Proven experience in construction plumbing with a strong understanding of plumbing systems in commercial or residential settings. • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately. • Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding techniques. • Mechanical knowledge related to HVAC systems and general building infrastructure. • Experience with construction site safety procedures and heavy lifting techniques. • Familiarity with basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations during installations. • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly on busy construction sites. • Valid commercial driver’s license for transporting materials or equipment when required. • Ability to lead a small crew when asked to do so.
