Aluminum Tig Welder

Smoker Craft, Inc currently has an opening for an Aluminum Tig Welder! This position works from our plant in New Paris, IN.  Pontoon Tig Welders can earn up to $32.29/hr. after 60 days.   After the first week of work, employees are eligible for an Attendance Bonus averaging an additional $50/week! Shift Hours are currently scheduled at 40 hours a week, 6 am to 2:30 pm, Monday-Friday.    At Smoker Craft Incorporated, we believe that each employee contributes directly to the company’s growth and success! Responsibilities include: •Prepare metal to be welded using cleaner, grinders, and brushes  • Clamp, hold, or tack weld components to be welded  • File or grind excess weld spatter  • Use of handheld power tools  Required skills and experience: • Candidates must have previous aluminum tig welding experience and be able to pass a weld test. • Ability to adjust welding equipment to metal being used to avoid warping, burn through and porous welds  • Mark and/or tag material with correct name and part number after weld is completed • Weld in flat, horizontal, or vertical positions  • Flexibility in job assignments to move where needed  • Ability to bend, squat/crouch, reach, kneel, push/pull, twist.  • Lift 20 lbs. frequently throughout the shift and up to 50-100 lbs. occasionally.   • Able to produce quality work within given time frame  • Decision making skills  • Safe working habits Preferred skills and experience: • Aluminum welding  • 2 years’ experience Tig welding in manufacturing environment    Schedule:  • 8-hour shift • Day shift 6 am - 2:30 pm • Monday to Friday (subject to change based on production needs)   Equal opportunity employer Only qualified candidates will be contacted Must be authorized to work in the United States   We offer a full line of benefits including: Single/Family Medical & Dental Insurance Wellness Benefits Flexible Spending Accounts  Vision Insurance Short-Term Disability  401(k)  Roth 401(k) Paid Holidays & Vacation Life Insurance  On-Site Gym Facilities
